Another Blast from the Past, this time from the Mercadian Masques set of Magic, the last set I worked on before leaving WOTC's employ. Another forest to design! Ye Gods. This was also back in the day when I was allowed to spend a day or two on pencil drawings.

I treated this forest like an ocean; it expanded in waves, forming a solid wall of roots several meters thick at the edges. Imagine coming across the plains and encountering a distinct wall where the forest met the grasslands. That was the intent.
