Interesting take on the subject :)

Love the colours, love the pose, love the background.

The red and orange on the wall are awesome. Making her blue is pure genius. Poor victim^^.

I really like this, but the only medusa I can ever think of when I hear the word is from Clash of the Titans. The special effects are really cool. If you havn't seen it, it's old and the special effects(clay animation) were done by Ray Harryhousen, one of my many idols. Like the blue. :)

I agree with =dunwich7 about the pose. I also like that one snake that's longer than all the rest--usually depictions of Medusa tend to render the snakes more or less symmetrically or evenly around her head, but yours gives the snakes more animation.

I also agree with ~frozen-peas about the (solar?) stone design in the background.
